2017
By all accounts 2016, was a tough year for nearly everyone I know. The election seemed to suck the wind out of everything. My freelance work disappeared after July and has only begun making a comeback. So here is a morning coffee toast to 2017 to all. Hopefully, it will be a year of prosperity, creativity and vigilance. Hope all of you are blessed with a great year.

Starting to take down the Flash site
Although the Flash site for Horrendous Fiasco will be up for a while, I am beginning to disassemble it, making the Flash pieces into movies and trying to figure out exactly how it has to change. I plan to move Horrendous Fiasco into a totally different direction brand wise and am looking forward to reinventing it and differentiating it from Knock Knock.
Knock Knock will continue as the commercial production and children's show development company and Horrendous will move to a solely mature content company....not adult films exactly but a clear line in the sand so that there is no mix of mature and kid content on one site. That might be bad.

Horrendous Fiasco 2016
Horrendous Fiasco Cartoons has been in hiatus for quite some time. Initially, a re-branding of Knock Knock Cartoons, Horrendous has become an oddity. It's website is a Flash site and will be taken down soon due to Flash's inability to play on mobile devices. So where does Horrendous go when we have relaunched Knock Knock Cartoon's here in Ohio where it once thrived.
The overall plan for Horrendous is to make a more specialized branch of Knock Knock (it's parent company) and create a unique brand, not a full service animation studio, but a development company for more adult content. Knock Knock will take over the full service aspect of most animation productions, but will distance itself from any adult or edgy content. In this way, both brands become more defined and the purpose of each can then objectively and hopefully, successfully be promoted.
Horrendous will go through this transition in 2016 with a new website launched sometime in the Fall of 2016. When to take down the current Flash site will be discussed soon with our web-development team...Thanks!

So Yes
The Kickstarter for Longhair and Doubledome failed to reach its goal, but that being said, it was not at all a bad experience nor is it the end. I am committed to seeing this through whether on Kickstarter or Indiegogo.
Longhair and Doubledome deserve at least a complete half hour of their antics.

Snow Angel update
Over the past few weeks, I have gotten a good deal of feedback on "Snow Angel" and will be in production of a new animatic in early July. I would post it but then I would ruin the surprise.

Finished the initial animatic for "Snow Angel"
Snow Angel was initially a demo created by Dave Fedan for Knock Knock Cartoons, many years ago. The beautiful background work be Dave inspired me to create a film, this film. Here is one of the amazing backgrounds. Originally, planned as a 4X3 production, we are now setting up the files for an HD roll out.
Getting started on several fronts
Both Knock Knock Cartoons and Horrendous Fiasco is gearing up on several fronts. IT is building content time and I have been busily creating storyboards, art, and working on animation projects to be released before the end of 2015. It is really great to get going.

Settling in Columbus
Well, settling here, back in Ohio, has been a tad bumpy. Had a studio space, don't have a studio space, have work, have too much work, have other stuff to do. Would love to get to some of the projects on the docket, hope I will be able to get to something fun soon.

Starting up Knock Knock Cartoons again
As many of you know, I was the head cheese at Knock Knock Cartoons back in the day, well Knock Knock is kicking the dirt off its coffin and coming back to life for another stint in animation production land. Horrendous Fiasco will still be around, but it will be changing into Knock Knock's development arm. Check out Knock Knock's new website at knockknock2ns.com and it's blog at knockknockcartoons.blogspot.com

Jimmy's back
Jimmy's World of Hurt is a project I started with Max Cannon (of Red
Meat fame) years ago. I have recently decided that it is again worth
pursuing and am busy whacking out the character designs for the Flash
production. Here is where we are at.

Prelim character design by Tommy Rodricks for HFC
Prelim character design from Tommy Rodricks, a very talented student that Gav met when teaching at Mass Art. This is great to have some young talent contribute to the development cause. Great design Tom.
Moving forward and outward
As the Knock Knock Cartoons website gets its build on, Horrendous is moving in several direction in the process of becoming Knock Knock's development arm. Working on several projects, redeveloping a few others. 2015 looks bright.

Horrendous Fiasco
We are changing the overall purpose of the "Fiasco" into the development arm of Knock Knock Cartoons. Knock Knock never went away, and now it just makes sense to split the purpose of these two entities. The Horrendous site will stay up for now, but will soon transition. Knock Knock's site is slated for early January 2015.

Have Websites to build
Have a lot to do in the next few months and Horrendous Fiasco is surely on the list. I have needed to update its website for quite some time now. Flash sites are just not in the mainstream anymore and for good reason. Looking forward to simplifying Horrendous into the site it needs to be since I am bringing back Knock Knock too. Horrendous will be my "stream without a paddle" development and Knock Knock, mainstream production.

Columbus and beyond
Getting set-up for a big push in both Knock Knock Cartoons land and other ventures. Knock Knock Cartoons which has laid dormant but active for a number of years, will once again be reintroduced to the Ohio and national market. Both Knock Knock and Horrendous will be active but will work on different ventures in animation market. KKC will focus on traditional and corporate markets and HFC will push the old animation envelope. Look forward to updates.
