Finished the initial animatic for "Snow Angel"

Snow Angel was initially a demo created by Dave Fedan for Knock Knock Cartoons, many years ago.  The beautiful background work be Dave inspired me to create a film, this film.  Here is one of the amazing backgrounds. Originally, planned as a 4X3 production, we are now setting up the files for an HD roll out.

Prelim character design by Tommy Rodricks for HFC

Prelim character design from Tommy Rodricks, a very talented student that Gav met when teaching at Mass Art.  This is great to have some young talent contribute to the development cause.  Great design Tom.

Horrendous Fiasco

We are changing the overall purpose of the "Fiasco" into the development arm of Knock Knock Cartoons.  Knock Knock never went away, and now it just makes sense to split the purpose of these two entities.  The Horrendous site will stay up for now, but will soon transition.  Knock Knock's site is slated for early January 2015.

Chicago

Went to Chicago for longtime creative partner, RPM's 20th Anniversary.  Very nice party and a very nice way to celebrate some longevity in this ridiculous business where there are many failures and few successes.  RPM has been a loyal agency and I hope that I have provided the highest quality work I could achieve, they deserve it.

Background for a project in house. About 90% complete.

Still have to extend to accommodate a pan and make some tweaks.  Heavy influence from Maurice Noble

Birches, finished

Love the work for Pascal Campion, and being a chameleon artist, I can learn a lot from emulating another.  Here is "Birches" commissioned by my darling wife for above the fireplace.

Time Code...backgrounds

Donna Grillo

Michael Palmer
Pictured are two paintings I have done recently that will serve as backgrounds for the date portraits that I am producing for my MFA painting thesis.  I have several more to go and will be cranking like a rusted jack-in-the-box, to get all the paintings completed.  I will be posting a ton in the next month or so.  The paintings below are for Donna Grillo and Michael Palmer.  Donna's is a whimsical background somewhat based in the cartoon art that I have done all my life.  Michael's is a heavily layered and primary, but hopefully peaceful and calm.  The subject chose the palette to work in and now the dates will be layered on.  That business will be produced in the printmaking lab at SCAD.
